The single most important addition the healthcare track introduces is the tour.
The tours are for healthcare workers who are seriously considering relocating.
We would recommend trying to coordinate:
Ours happened on the Friday of the Infusion weekend (the day before the family photo). It was run by the regional health authority or the local hospital, not by the Infusion organizers.
The Infusion organizers' job is not to run the tour. It is to connect interested visitors to the hospital's recruitment team and to make the sign-up process easy.
Most regional health authorities will require some kind of pre-registration form for the tour, partly for security and partly so they can prepare. The Discord Server and âś…Â The Email List will be helpful here.
A few important practical notes:
Tours need to be limited. A tour of more than 10 people becomes unwieldy. If you have more interested visitors than that, the health authority may need to run two tours, or accept that some visitors will need to settle for a Q&A session instead.
Eligibility may be restricted. In Canada, hospital tours are often limited to people who could plausibly work there: licensed healthcare professionals, or people in training. The health authority will have its own rules about this.
The recruitment relationship is theirs, not yours. Once a visitor has connected with the hospital's recruitment team, you step out of the way. You are not an immigration consultant. You are not a recruiter. You are an event organizer who introduced two people. That is enough.
