The website does not need to be elaborate. We used Notion because it was easy to update and inexpensive.

A single-page site with the following sections is enough:

• What it is. One paragraph. Name, dates, location, who is invited.
• The basics. Date, time, place of the family photo. Link to the Discord.
• Getting here. How to travel to your community.
• Where to stay. A list of accommodations or a link to your tourism body's listings.
• Contact. An email address you actually check.

Use whatever website builder you are comfortable with. Squarespace, Wix, Notion, Carrd, or a simple HTML page are all fine. The platform does not matter; the clarity does.

A few principles:

Mobile first. Most visitors will look at the site on their phone. If it does not load fast and read clearly on a phone, fix it. Notion will do this automatically.

One canonical URL. Pick a domain like LethbridgeInfusion.ca or something. Use it everywhere. Avoid having three different links floating around for the same event.

Update the date prominently. When the event is two months away, the homepage should make that obvious. When the event is two days away, even more obvious.

Sub-pages later. As you add content (a getting-here guide, a visitor guide, an events calendar), link to them from the main page rather than cluttering it. The main page should remain the simple, scannable hub.
