Tod and Jocelyn’s Nanaimo Healthcare Infusion

What is a Discord?

A Discord server is like a group chat, but more organized.

When you join our Discord, you’re just joining a group of people who chat together. There are different “channels” (some for hobbies, some for professions, some for Vancouver Island towns, etc.)

Once inside, you can read posts and reply if you like. It’s a bit like joining a Facebook group, but with live conversations and no ads. Everything happens inside the app, and you can pop in or out whenever you want.

How to get in:

When you first get to the Discord, there will be an application form.

Make sure you tell us your occupation (tech worker, healthcare, manager, truck driver, etc) so we can put you in the right group.

Once you’ve been accepted, you must post an introduction of yourself (location, job, etc.) in the #introductions channel within 24 hours, or the server will remove you automatically and not permit you to come back.

Are you a service provider?

If you offer services (realtor, investment advisor, etc.), you’re welcome to be with us as long as you agree to these conditions:

  1. No direct promotion. You can’t directly advertise your services, post links, or pitch to members in chat or DMs.
  2. Be a regular. Join in on discussions, help people, and contribute to the community. We value participation over promotion.
  3. Profile transparency. Include your title and website in your username or profile so people can find you if they choose. (e.g., “Dave Smith, Realtor, DaveHomes.ca”)
  4. Share with everyone. If you’re offering a free report, webinar, or resource, you must share it with the entire community in a public channel, not just individuals in private messages.
  5. To demonstrate that you’ve read this, include the word applesauce in the What’s your profession field of the Discord application form.

If you’re pushy, salesy, or make people uncomfortable, you’ll be removed by th mods immediately, with no warning and no appeal.
