Low to moderate cost furniture:

• Jysk (budget friendly small furniture, patio items and home decor/organizing) and WestCoast Solid Wood Furniture (both are inside Country Club Centre)
• Canadian Tire (in the North Nanaimo Town Centre lot, 4585 Uplands Dr.) - this is kind of an everything retail store and a bit of Canadian culture for you - they sell home goods, tools, patio furniture, some chairs, desks and organizational furniture (similar to Jysk - light, flat pack stuff that is pretty inexpensive.) as well as any supplies you'd need to look after, move into, or repair a home (pet stuff and car repair too).
• Walmart (in the Woodgrove Shopping Centre complex, north Nanaimo)
• Merit Home Furniture (3230 Norwell Drive, just behind Country Club Centre)
• Sleep country Canada - west corner of Country club Centre mall, old Island Highway and 107th street.
• Sofa Source: www.sofasource.ca (showroom) - 5148 Metral Dr, Nanaimo, BC V9T 2K8 (parallel with Island Highway, just off of Mostar Rd.
• TL Home Furniture https://www.tlhomefurniture.com/ 4128 Mostar Rd unit 10. (Showroom only, items must be ordered in.)
• There’s always Costco… it’s on Island Highway North, across from Woodgrove Centre Mall, but I wouldn’t go near it on a saturday!
